Meet the Maya

The Maya were amazing Mesoamerican peoples who were centuries ahead of their time. Well before the Western world, they made huge strides in astronomy, mathematics, farming and the written word.

Their head-spinning legends feature fearsome gods, brave heroes and magical adventures, and their magnificent cities were full of incredible buildings that still stand today.

And we have the Maya to thank for being the first people to grow cacao beans for food and making chocolate possible!
